The Edward Lowenstein papers, 1967-2002 (inclusive), are the product of Lowenstein’s activities as Chief of the Cardiac Anesthesia Group in the Department of Anesthesia at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, and as Anesthetist-in-Chief at Beth Israel Hospital and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (now Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center), Boston, Massachusetts.
